Step1. Install the apache

yum install  httpd wget -y

Step2. Start/enable the service

systemctl start httpd
systemctl enable httpd
systemctl status httpd

Step3. Install the database server

yum install  mariadb mariadb-server -y

Step4. Start the service

systemctl start mariadb
systemctl enable mariadb

Step5. Setup the database

mysql_secure_installation 

Step6. Create the database

mysql -u root -p
CREATE DATABASE smf;
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON smf.* TO smf_user@localhost IDENTIFIED BY 'PASSWORD';
FLUSH PRIVILEGES;
\q

Step7. Install/Configure the PHP 7.2

yum install https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/epel-release-latest-7.noarch.rpm
yum install http://rpms.remirepo.net/enterprise/remi-release-7.rpm
yum install yum-utils
yum-config-manager --enable remi-php72

Step8. Install the PHP packages

yum install php  php-xml php-mbstring php-gd php-mysql -y

Step9. Download the Package of Smf

wget https://download.simplemachines.org/index.php/smf_2-0-15_install.zip

Step10. Unzip the file

unzip smf_2-0-15_install.zip -d  /var/www/html/smf

Step11. Change the ownership of SMF folder to apache user

chown -R apache:apache /var/www/html/smf/

Step12. Change the permission

cd /var/www/html/smf
chmod 777 attachments avatars cache Packages Smileys Themes agreement.txt Packages/installed.list agreement.txt Settings_bak.php Settings.php

Step13. Restart the service

systemctl restart httpd

Step14. Access via browser

http://ipaddress/smf
