It’s an open-source database tool.

Step1. Install Java

yum install java-1.8.0-*   -y

Step2. Download package

cd /opt/
wget -O orientdb-community-2.2.29.tar.gz http://orientdb.com/download.php?file=orientdb-community-2.2.29.tar.gz&os=linux

Step3. Untar file

tar xvzf orientdb-community-2.2.29.tar.gz

Step4. Rename folder

mv orientdb-community-2.2.29/ orientdb

Step5. Create an OrientDB user

useradd -r orientdb -s /sbin/nologin

Step6. Change owner

chown -R orientdb:orientdb /opt/orientdb/

Step7. Edit OrientDB configuration file

vi /opt/orientdb/bin/orientdb.sh
ORIENTDB_DIR=""
ORIENTDB_USER=""

Change their value to below:

ORIENTDB_DIR="/opt/orientdb"
ORIENTDB_USER="orientdb" 

Step8. Modify lines in the service file

vi /opt/orientdb/bin/orientdb.service
 
[Unit]
Description=OrientDB Server
After=network.target
After=syslog.target
 
[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target
 
[Service]
User=orientdb
Group=orientdb
ExecStart=/opt/orientdb/bin/server.sh

Step9. Move the file in systemd folder

mv /opt/orientdb/bin/orientdb.service /etc/systemd/system/

Step10. Restart service

systemctl daemon-reload
systemctl start orientdb
systemctl enable orientdb

Step11. Access via the browser.

http://YOUR_IP_ADDRESS:2480

Step12. Default credentials

username: admin
password: admin
