ntopng is computer software for monitoring traffic on a computer network. It is designed to be a high-performance, low-resource replacement for ntop

Step1. Install the epel repository

yum install epel-release
yum install wget

Step2. Download the repo file

cd /etc/yum.repos.d/ 
wget http://packages.ntop.org/centos/ntop.repo -O ntop.repo

Step3. Install the package

yum install redis hiredis

Step4. Install the packages

yum install pfring n2disk nprobe ntopng ntopng-data cento nbox

Step5. Start/enable the services

systemctl start redis
systemctl enable redis
systemctl start ntopng
systemctl enable ntopng

Step6. Allow port on firewalld

firewall-cmd --zone=public --add-port=3000/tcp --permanent
firewall-cmd --zone=public --add-port=6379/tcp --permanent
firewall-cmd --reload

Step7. Create a file for ntopng

cd /usr/local/etc
mkdir ntopng
cd ntopng

vi ntopng.start
Note:: Add lines
 –local-network “192.168.33.51”
 –interface 0

vi ntopng.pid
 Note:: Add lines
 -G=/var/run/ntopng.pid

Step8. Restart the services

systemctl restart redis
systemctl restart ntopng

Step9. Access via browser

http://demohost.com:3000 

Step10. Default credentials

Username: admin 
Password: admin
