Step1. Install wget

yum -y install wget

Step2. Download java

wget --no-cookies --no-check-certificate --header "Cookie:oraclelicense=accept-securebackup-cookie" http://download.oracle.com/otn-pub/java/jdk/8u131-b11/d54c1d3a095b4ff2b6607d096fa80163/jdk-8u131-linux-x64.rpm

Step3. Install java using rpm

rpm -ivh jdk-8u131-linux-x64.rpm

Step4. Check java version

java -version

Step5. Download Metabase jar file

wget http://downloads.metabase.com/v0.33.0/metabase.jar

Step6. Extract jar file

java -jar metabase.jar

Step7. Move jar file in /var directory

mv metabase.jar /var/metabase.jar

Step8. Create a service file

vi /etc/systemd/system/metabase.service

[Unit]
Description=Metabase server
After=syslog.target
After=network.target
[Service]
User=root
Type=simple
ExecStart=/bin/java -jar /var/metabase.jar
Restart=always
StandardOutput=syslog
StandardError=syslog
SyslogIdentifier=metabase
[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target

Step9. Start and enable service

systemctl start metabase
systemctl enable metabase
systemctl status metabase

Step10. Access via browser

http://192.168.106.128:3000
