GLPI is a free IT Asset Management tool.

Step1. Install Epel repository

yum install epel-release

Step2. Install and configure PHP repository

yum install http://rpms.remirepo.net/enterprise/remi-release-7.rpm
yum install yum-utils
yum-config-manager --enable remi-php56 
yum-config-manager --enable remi-php56

Step3. Install the PHP packages

yum install php php-mcrypt php-cli php-gd php-curl php-mysql php-ldap php-zip php-fileinfo php-imap php-mbstring php-xml

Step4. Add lines in /etc/php.ini file

memory_limit = 64M ;       
file_uploads = on ;
max_execution_time = 600 ;  
register_globals = off ;    
magic_quotes_sybase = off ;
session.auto_start = off ;
session.use_trans_sid = 0 ;

Step5. Add line apache file

vi /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
Allowoverride All

Step6. Create repository file for database

vi /etc/yum.repos.d/MariaDB.repo
 
[mariadb]
name = MariaDB
baseurl = http://yum.mariadb.org/10.1/centos7-amd64
gpgkey=https://yum.mariadb.org/RPM-GPG-KEY-MariaDB
gpgcheck=1

Step7. Install database packages

yum install MariaDB-server MariaDB-client -y

Step8. Start and enable services

systemctl start httpd 
systemctl enable httpd 
systemctl start mariadb
systemctl enable mariadb 

Step9. Setup Database

mysql_secure_installation

Step10. Create a database

mysql -uroot -p 
create database glpidb; 
grant all privileges on glpidb.* to glpiuser@localhost identified by 'glpipwd'; 
flush privileges;

Step11. Download software

cd /var/www/html
wget https://github.com/glpi-project/glpi/releases/download/9.4.4/glpi-9.4.4.tgz

Step12. Untar file

tar -xvf glpi-9.1.3.tgz 
rm -rf glpi-9.1.3.tgz

Step13. Change permission

chmod -R 775 /var/www/html/glpi 
chown -R apache:apache /var/www/html/glpi

Step14. Restart service

systemctl restart httpd

Step15. Access via browser

http://192.168.106.128/glpi

Step16. Click -> ok

Step17. Accept Agreement

Step18. Click -> Keep going on

Step19. Click -> Install

Step20. Put -> database credentials

localhost
root
Redhat2123_000

Step21. Select-> Created Database -> glpidb

Step22. Click -> Continue

Step23. Click -> Continue

Step24. Login with below default credentials.

glpi/glpi for the administrator account
tech/tech for the technician account
normal/normal for the normal account
post-only/postonly for the postonly account
You can delete or modify these accounts as well as the initial data.
