Step1. Install package

yum install vsftpd ftp  -y

Step2. Create copy of original file

cd /etc/vsftpd/
cp -rvf vsftpd.conf vsftpd.conf_org

Step3. Disable the anonymous user

vim vsftpd.conf
anonymous_enable=NO

Step4. Enable and start service

systemctl start  vsftpd
systemctl enable vsftpd
systemctl status  vsftpd

Step5. Enable the firewalld to allow traffic

firewall-cmd --zone=public --permanent --add-port=21/tcp
firewall-cmd --zone=public --permanent --add-service=ftp
firewall-cmd --reload

Step6. Create user user1 and set password.

useradd user1
passwd user1

Step7. Access the ftp server from ftp user

ftp 192.168.122.236
